My name is Molly and I am a native Chinese. I am a Texas certified Mandarin teacher and a certified online Chinese teacher. I'd like to tutor adults and college students online or face to face lessons. I have passed the ACTFL test with superior ratings on the oral and writing Mandarin professional test (OPI & WPT) and EC-12 pedagogy and professional responsibilities test (PPR). In addition, I have six years of teaching experience in DISD, Chinese community schools, Catholic schools, private schools in Texas and CA, and six years online teaching experience. I enjoy the challenges and joy for teaching.
I got my master degree of MIS in MBA program from University of Dallas. I have my Texas teacher license through region 10 training program, also I had various Chinese training sessions and workshops. I have learned a wide range of new concepts, including teaching strategies, classroom management techniques, lesson plan designs, and establishment of procedures and routines. I have applied many of these to my students, such as vocabulary games, peer tasks, and summarization by students. The outcomes have been excellent. In addition to that, I am a certified IQChinese software teacher, and I have applied the technology to my teaching. With this software, using on line visual aids and Chinese typing exercises, students learn Mandarin much faster and in a dynamic and fun environment. I believe that using new technologies is a very important improvement for teaching foreign languages, and I can be the right teacher for you.
