Hi! My name is Kelli and I am a certified English teacher. I have taught English Language Arts for eight years in 7th, 8th, and 9th grade. I have taught ESL students, students with dyslexia and ADHD, Pre-AP, G/T, and advanced students, and everything in between! I am passionate about connecting with students and helping them learn in a way that works best for them as individuals.

Hi! My name is Kelli and I am a certified English teacher. I have taught English Language Arts for eight years in 7th, 8th, and 9th grade. I have taught ESL students, students with dyslexia and ADHD, Pre-AP, G/T, and advanced students, and everything in between! I am passionate about connecting with students and helping them learn in a way that works best for them as individuals.

I have tutored students in grades 2-12 in reading comprehension, basic school skills (time management, organization, etc.), vocabulary recognition, writing abilities, and so much more. I love to work one-on-one with students and to really understand what their specific needs are in order to help them succeed!

I believe that I am an outstanding ELA tutor because I have experienced so many different learning styles in my career so far. I am certified in ESL and Pre-AP/advanced, as well as G/T and have done several professional development courses on differentiation, writing styles, STAAR preparation, and much more. I studied English in college and I am passionate about the subject and my students!

I am flexible to the needs and wants of my students and their parents and hope to find a good working relationship that we can all benefit from!

I am available to come to your home/public space Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays. On Tuesday-Thursday, I am only available for online sessions.

I graduated from The University of Houston in 2013 with my Bachelor's degree in English Literature. I got my teaching certification in 2015 and began teaching middle school the same year. I have been teaching middle school for the past four years, currently going into my 5th year. During that time, I have also been tutoring students one-on-one (and in a small group setting when the needed skills are the same) from grades 3 through 10 on vocabulary skills, reading comprehension, time management and organizational skills, basic English homework upkeep, etc.

I graduated from The University of Houston in 2013 with my Bachelor's degree in English Literature. I got my teaching certification in 2015 and began teaching middle school the same year. In 2016, I received my ESL (English as a Second Language) certification and have been teaching students within my classroom for the past three years who qualify as ESL. I have conducted TELPAS ratings for the past three years as well and have received training and professional development on how best to serve our ESL community each year.
