I have been working in the schools for the last nine years as a high school mathematics teacher and private tutor, mainly supporting students with different levels of mathematics as well as test preparation (ACT and SAT). I hold a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Vanderbilt University (2013), a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Boston University (2018), and a Ph.D. in mathematics education from the University of Miami (2023).
My students' results as a result of tutoring have been generally high, with my last student to take the ACT earning a 34 and my last SAT student scoring a 1570. I am well-versed in strategies that students need to approach mathematics and testing with confidence. Furthermore, the research I have conducted for my Ph.D. has provided me with insight on best practices to support students with a variety of learning needs.
