I have been working for 3 years at an online tutoring facility called Brainfuse Real-time tutoring and 4 years as an Instaedu/Chegg tutor. I have experience teaching a variety of mathematics topics; from Pre-algebra to topology. Most of the time, I help students work on their homework or review tests. I can also help explain the language of textbooks, how to use them, answer other questions you may have in your class, and I can create lessons for you on any mathematics topics, if you tell me what they are in advance. I hope to have fun in my sessions with you.

Statistics

Statistics

Statistics and probability are two sides of the same coin. Probability is a mathematical way to measure uncertainty and statistics takes probability and translates that into values you can measure and statements you can have some certainty on. Statistics defines how we create estimations, how we can predict data from known values, and we can draw conclusions from the data we collect. We also can find why our conclusions might wrong or inaccurate.

Algebra 1,

Algebra 1

I have a masters degree in mathematics from SUNY Brockport. I have a bachelors in mathematics from Roberts Wesleyan College. I have tutored as a Graduate Assistant at the college level for one and a half years. I have taught as an adjunct professor for a semester. I have tutored online for seven years.
Algebra 2,

Algebra 2

Algebra 2 is the basic language of math. You learn different ways to use variables as tools in simplifying relationships between numbers. I will help you answer questions, solve puzzles and translate from English to mathematics.
Calculus,

Calculus

I have tutored as a Graduate Assistant at the college level for one and a half years. I have taught as an adjunct professor for a semester. I have tutored online for seven years. I regularly tutor in Calculus 1 to Multivariable calculus.
Geometry,

Geometry

Geometry is a subject describing how to prove systems from first principles and specifically relates to what we can prove about the measurement of space, as well as defining a language to do so. I will help you figure out the vocabulary and help you find the puzzle pieces that let you do the proofs and help you review the algebra needed to find answers.

Precalculus,

Precalculus

Precalculus is a class on techniques to understand complex functions, graphs, and breaking down problems into simpler more manageable pieces. Personally, it is one of my favorite areas of mathematics. Complex problems are combined with learning about fundamental functions, their relationships to one another and what the models they represent mean for the real world.

Great Tutor

David R, is amazing. This was my first using Wyzant and David made our first session very comfortable. He is very patient and made me feel at ease as he walked me through the steps on how to use Wyzant platform. I also liked how he explained things. I will definitely be seeking his help again if/when I need it. Thank you David!

Success - I can't wait to continue my journey of Statistics with David

After this first session, I know that when I show him my solved or semi solved problems, he will be able to know what I know and what I am confused about. His explanations are precise and he is patient and corrects me when I need it.
