Salve, mihi nomen est Cecelia! I graduated magna cum laude with Bachelor's degrees in Classics and Art History. I also hold a Master's degree in Latin. I have been teaching for the last 7 years and I firmly believe the power of a positive student-teacher relationship. I am passionate about Latin and have devoted the last 15 years of my life to perfecting fluency, developing lesson plans that have a proven success rate, and meeting students where they are. As a trained educator in all areas of the Latin language, including AP Latin, I always am up to date on the most relevant scholarship that involves Classical practice from Elementary to College students. Using my past educators as hallmark examples, I bring this experience to my tutoring approach and make learning a 2,000+ year old language come to life while making it fun. I always make time after every lesson to ensure students can practice material independently and can easily make adjustments based on a student's individual requirements.
I have also worked with students who required additional assistance within my classroom to help them succeed. I always offered my time to students and created a welcoming environment where they could bring their questions outside of their specific Latin class.
