My name is Mark. I am a high school math teacher and part time college math professor. I have been teaching and tutoring math for over 25 years. I have taught all high school math's and currently teach Pre-calculus, calculus I (AB), calculus II (BC), contemporary math and statistics. I also teach Calculus I at a university at nights. I have also taught alg. I and alg. II, and geometry. I do not teach from a book. I write all of my own materials and constantly place them on line for all of my students to use. I use google classroom at the high school level and canvas on the college level. All my students will have access to what ever materials they need. I work hard and am determined to get all my students to understand math.

Mathematics should not be thought of the routine of memorizing steps to accomplish a task or a list of equations. Most students forget them shortly after taking a test. Math is a process of building geometric ideas. Students should be thinking with pictures and representations that aid in the understanding of mathematical concepts. Not until after grasping these geometric interpretations should students involve themselves in algebraic manipulations. A picture is worth a thousand words. I stick by this moto and teach math by it as well.

I am happy to teach math and love doing it. I am thrilled when students understand and apply math. Whether in my high school classroom or in a lecture hall filled with 100 students, I am always happy to teach to any one that is interested or has a will to learn.

Great Tutor!

Mark is helping me through my college contemporary math class and it’s making a huge difference. He breaks it down so it’s easy to understand, and is encouraging and positive. He is a high school teacher and I’m benefiting from his training and experience. I wish I had had math teachers like him in high school!

Amazing Calculus Tutor!

Mr. Trongone is a very knowledgeable Calculus tutor and is superb at explaining challenging concepts. Not only this, he ensures that you understand the material in detail. His expertise in the subject helped me to prepare for the AP Calculus BC exam and helped me tremendously. We went through countless questions types, many of which appeared on the exam. I highly recommend him as your next Calculus tutor!

Best tutor I’ve ever had

I have had a LOT of calc 2 tutors and I never stick with any of them because they clearly don’t know the material. Mark is by far the best tutor I’ve ever had. He was so nice, went over things so clearly, and even offered to extend my time at no extra cost. You could tell he really wanted me to learn the material, and went over everything in such good detail. I had a feeling he would be good since he’s a calc teacher, so he’s constantly around this stuff and is very knowledgeable. I wasn’t confused on anything when I left the session and usually when I leave tutors I’m frustrated and even more lost then when I went. I am so happy to finally have a tutor who knows what they’re doing and whose so nice. He also sent me his class notes & notes from our session. 100000000/10 experience. Definitely use him!!!

Very knowledgeable and patient.

Mark is able to work with your prior knowledge and explain complex sections in calculus. He sees what you know first before proceeding to whatever homework problems causing you to get stuck. Calculus is not easy to understand at first glance. Mark keeps this in mind and guides you till you understand it 100%. He'll give you honest feedback what areas you need to work on to improve. Awesome!!!
