Hi, my name is Wien. I have just graduated from college and am currently trying to find a full time or part time job that can gain experience in any teaching-related fields. I grew up in various places, thus I am a multilingual. I can read, speak and write English, Cantonese, Mandarin and Japanese. As a person that experienced a lot of cultural differences, I realized that language can be a troublesome obstacle for a lot of people as they try to blend into the local society. As a native English speaker with an Asian background, I experience the influential impact that a foreign language can possess. Because of that, I want to use my linguistic skill to help anyone out there that is currently having a problem related to language. I want to try my best to dissolve that linguistic obstacle.
I had volunteered in the past, tutoring English to various students in various ages, I also took the TEFL course in order to learn more about teaching methods and classroom managements. I am enthusiastic, responsible and motivated. I would like to turn my linguistic skill into good use and be able to help others as much as possible.
Although my main focus is placed on languages, I am also able to teach elementary math, grammar and reading. Despite the fact that they are not my main subjects, I am willing to help whoever that is faced with difficulties and trouble with those subjects. I want to be a teacher in the future. Through helping people here, I can learn a lot and gain experience and improve myself as I advance through my career. Hi, my name is Wien. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
