Hi! I am an engineering student at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute studying Electrical Engineering. I graduated from The Bronx High School of Science, a high school ranked 50th nationally. My background majorly consists of programming, high-level mathematics and physics. I have experience tutoring classmates in courses like Calculus BC, Pre-Calculus and Linear Algebra. In my free time, I also help peer review college essays and specialize in review for the English/Reading sections of the SAT/ACT (my overall score was a 35 on the ACT). I am also free to tutor algebra and any lower-level mathematics or sciences.
I will accommodate students with any particular requests, with either pre-made lesson plans or any particular topic they struggle on. Going over practice questions is my specialty, but going over course content is also possible. My previous experience was generally focused on one on one with peers my age, but I also have experience teaching underclassmen, typically a year or two below me. I also work well with teaching kids by breaking down concepts into simpler ones.
I will be as flexible as I can with lesson plans, catering to requests of parents or students.
