Electrical Engineer Who Loves to Teach Math

Hi! I’m Chearine. I graduated from Penn State University with a major in Electrical Engineering. When I was in school, math was always my strongest subject and my favorite class in high school was calculus. I started tutoring after graduating from college in 2009 because I am passionate about the development and education of young people. I find it so rewarding to hear from parents of students I’ve tutored about their improvement.
I am proficient in K-12 math (Geometry, trigonometry, algebra, calculus, statistics), as well as English and reading comprehension. I assess each student to understand their comprehension level and base my lessons on their individual needs. I’m able to teach fundamentals, supplement what the student is currently learning, or teach concepts that the student has not yet learned in school. I am also available for test prep sessions. I have experience tutoring for the SATs, and ACTs.
I have a calm, friendly, and professional demeanor and I know how to make the subjects seem not so boring. Patience is also one of my superpowers.
