I hold a Master of Education degree from Columbia University, and I have over 15 years of experience as an educator and educational leader. My academic background and professional training have equipped me with deep expertise in literacy development, academic writing, research skills, and inquiry-based instruction. I am also currently completing doctoral studies in Instructional Design for Online Learning, which further strengthens my knowledge of curriculum design and effective learning strategies.

Across my career, I have taught students in grades 6–12 in a variety of settings, including whole-class instruction, small-group intervention, and one-on-one academic support. I have taught AP Seminar, AP Composition and Language, high school and middle school ELA, writing-intensive courses, and literacy enrichment programs, as well as supported college essay writing and academic research skills. My work also includes coaching teachers, designing curriculum, and developing routines that improve student writing, comprehension, and argumentation. This wide range of experience allows me to understand how students learn at different stages and how to tailor support for diverse learners.

My tutoring approach is rooted in scaffolded practice, clear modeling, structured feedback, and individualized instruction. I focus on helping students build confidence, strengthen foundational literacy skills, and master advanced academic tasks such as evidence-based writing, close reading, and presentation development. I break complex concepts into manageable steps, provide targeted strategies, and adapt my instruction to meet each student’s needs. Whether supporting AP-level coursework, reading comprehension, or writing development, I ensure students leave each session with clarity, skill growth, and actionable next steps.
