Excellent math and chemistry tutor

I have a Bachelor of Science degree from UNM in biology and psychology, and I graduated with a 4.13 GPA. I tutored math and chemistry full-time at CNM for 3 years, and I’ve been a private math and science tutor for the past 6 years. My experience has allowed me to work with an extremely diverse student population, and I have successfully tutored students with ADHD, learning disabilities, and crippling math and test anxiety. My students compliment me extensively on my ability to explain things in a way that makes sense, my almost inexhaustible patience, and, most importantly, my ability to help them feel confident with what they are trying to learn.

I work with students in middle school through college, and I have worked most extensively with pre-algebra, high school algebra, and college algebra as this always seems to be the subject with the highest demand. I am also proficient in geometry, and I have tutored students in statistics, trigonometry, and calculus as well. I have also tutored Chemistry extensively throughout my nine years experience, and I have helped both high school and college students successfully pass general chemistry and introductory chemistry. I have helped students with both the math and science sections of the HESI, ACT, SAT, and GED.

For the past three years, I have had the pleasure of teaching math and science to adults in a college prep/GED prep classroom of 10 students. In this position, I created all of the curriculum that I use, and I absolutely love seeing students who never thought they could go to college gain confidence in math and science. These subjects are not easy for many people, and I pride myself on my ability to make this complex material accessible.
