I have many years of experience tutoring children in the area of writing. I have worked in local private schools as well as tutorial centers in the area performing this task. I enjoy working with children and am certain I can make a difference in their learning.
I graduated with a degree in Political Science, which required me to write approximately 20 essays per year, all of which I received a B+ or higher on. In my most recent job, I was responsible for writing 100+ page papers and editing the work of my coworkers. In college, I tutored my peers on how to properly construct their papers.
I studied Spanish as an undergrad at Miami University, then went on to continue my studies at Wayne State University in the graduate school program, maintaining a 4.0 grade point average. Subsequently, I taught high school Spanish for 27 years.

Developed and produced over two dozen feature films so I have extensive experience working with writers and helping them find and refine their stories to be ready for production. The last two films that I executive produced were released this year. I am currently writing the story on Dietrich Bonhoeffer for a feature film that will be shot in Europe in 2017.

As an ESL teacher I have taught writing using Cambridge publisher's "Writers at Work" series. I have taken writing courses and had a children's story published in "UUWorld" I feel that writing is an art, best taught at both the micro and macro levels. The micro level is the mechanics: punctuation, grammar, vocabulary. The macro level is the ability of the piece to create a vision in the mind of the reader. I ask my students to imagine what they are trying to say as a movie they are directing. What is the opening scene? How can you bring all of the reader's senses into play? This is not just valid for the humanities, but science as well.
I write regularly for a blog I own, and have more than 200,000 total words published. I am writing a book. I have many hours of writing tutoring not through this site, and every college admission essay I have worked on has had a favorable outcome.
I have extensive experience working as an adjunct instructor in the legal profession, where I instruct students on grammar as well as how to draft well-written business letters, memoranda, and legal documents. I have been teaching a writing class at Phoenix College for several years. I have successfully taught my students how to become strong writers.
have taken all necessary coursework needed for the degree. I have also taken and received all necessary passing test scores for all teaching exams needed for obtaining a teaching license. I received high scores in all writing courses I have needed and have completed. I have also taken Master's level classes in writing specific courses.
