I have tutored at a community college for two years until they allowed me to start lecturing there as a part time professor. Alongside that, I have been a mentor, a supplementary instructor, and a grader. I know math and physics like the back of my hand, but more importantly I have a deep intuition on the struggles of students. I understand precisely where the gaps lie and attack those weaknesses with deliberate instruction. This is my favorite part about tutoring, I feel like a repairman, but instead of repairing broken cars, pipes, or objects, I repair skills and knowledge in mathematics and physics. I also love it because it lets me talk about my favorite things in the world!

Since I have a Ph.D. in theoretical physics, I understand math not just on an abstract / esoteric level, but on a more applicable / relatable level. I don't give vigorous proofs, but rather simple derivations with intuitive reasoning.

Please do not hesitate to contact me. I have experience with all sorts of students, from the gifted who seek reinforced recitation to the downright lazy who didn't pay attention in class (someone like myself!). I have lots of experience with students who possess learning difficulties. I welcome all with nothing but respect and a pleasure to educate. Thank you :)

Neil is the best!

The best tutor I came across on this site for physics! He is patient and nice but also knows what he is doing :) He helped me with physics multiple times and whatever he said was well explained and easily understood. 10/10 recommend!

Excellent teacher

Neil is great, he broke down a difficult college physics subject into parts on a basic level to help me build a fundamental understanding of the subject. Would definitely recommend him to anyone who is needing help learning physics.

Great Tutor

My son really enjoyed the lesson. Neil was prepared and explained the lesson well. We will be pleased to have him as a tutor again. He is qualified and can teach to the level of the student.
