Together, we will bust through procrastination and fear to uncover your/your child's unique differentiators and showcase them in the form of college application essays. I help students dig deep to find what is special about them and express it clearly and compellingly. I'll also share tips and tools to have fun with their writing now and into the future. I offer a proven process for crafting a strategy for Personal Statements and Supplemental Essays that stand out and get noticed. I walk you through brainstorming, organizing, writing, rewriting, editing, and finalizing all Personal Statements and Supplemental Essays. I also help students and families create a rationale for each school on your college list and manage the application process through the Common App.
I'm a patient, empathetic writing instructor with extensive experience coaching high school and college students. I understand the pressures around this process and treat all people with openness and respect. I DO NOT write essays for students, EVER. Students who work with me must put in the work and do their assignments to receive my continued coaching and guidance. A long time ago, in a galaxy far away, I earned my BA in English and Spanish from the University of Notre Dame in Notre Dame, Indiana, and my MA in Mass Communication from UNC-Chapel Hill in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
