I am currently a licensed 1st grade teacher with a passion for helping ALL students succeed. In addition, I have 4 years as an elementary-level tutor during college. My favorite part of teaching and tutoring is developing meaningful, supportive relationships with my students, and empowering students with the confidence they need to succeed in school and beyond. I am enrolled in a Masters program in Reading and Literacy Education, and I plan to obtain my Reading Specialist License upon completion of the program.

As a tutor, I teach all lower-elementary subjects, specializing in literacy and mathematics.

As a 1st grade teacher, I have ample experience teaching lower-elementary mathematics. Some topics I teach include basic counting and numbers, addition, subtraction, geometry, measurement, and more!

I teach young students fundamental skills needed to become successful readers and writers. I use a variety of research-based methods to help scholars read, comprehend, and write.

Phonics is the foundation to reading; reading is the foundation to academic success. In my classroom, I teach a wide variety of research-backed phonics curricula that I will incorporate into my tutoring.

With a comprehensive understanding of phonics instruction and child development, I leverage children's phonics knowledge into their spelling instruction.

As a teacher, I have access to the most current research-backed curricula. I incorporate these new teaching methods into my tutoring, to give my tutoring clients classroom-level instruction on a personalized basis. I am available for virtual tutoring, and potentially for in-person tutoring, on a case by case basis. I'm excited to begin working with you and your child, to help him or her on a path to academic success!
