Hi, I'm Jaison, a magna cum laude graduate from Northeastern University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Entrepreneurial Engineering. My passion for math, physics, and business started early - attending after-school math programs like Kumon, Aloha Math, and The Math Club since I was 8. In middle school, I advanced quickly and skipped a grade in math. By high school, for 4 years I was tutoring students aged 7-14 to prepare them for Math Olympiad competitions. I also delivered my high school graduation speech, showcasing my public speaking skills.

During college, I helped peers excel in math, physics, and business courses while gaining hands-on experience through full-time work at Instron, Desktop Metal, and NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory. These roles honed my technical skills and gave me insight into practical applications of engineering and science. I also co-founded two startups, one in healthcare and another in manufacturing, securing over $20,000 in grants and presenting to audiences of 2,000+ at pitch competitions.

My teaching approach is adaptable and engaging. I focus on breaking down complex topics into manageable steps, ensuring students not only understand the material but build confidence in their abilities. I specialize in math, physics, business, and public speaking for students of all ages. Whether you're mastering algebra, preparing for a presentation, or seeking entrepreneurial insights, I’m here to help.

Physics

Physics has always been my favorite and strongest subject. My first year of college at Northeastern University I was awarded the Lawrence Award in Undergraduate Scholastic Excellence for achieving the highest GPA (4.0) in Physics amongst other students in my year. I've used physics principles in all my jobs (including NASA) as a Mechanical Engineer and have a deep appreciation for the subject. I've also taught many peers physics while in college.

Knowlgade and Great tutor

He was an amazing tutor for my son’s physics studies, making a huge difference in his understanding and confidence. He is incredibly patient and explains difficult concepts in a way that is easy to understand. Instead of just going through the lessons, he takes the time to make sure everything is clear and adjusts his teaching style to fit the student’s needs. His friendly and encouraging approach made learning enjoyable, and my son felt comfortable asking questions without stress. Thanks to his help, my son improved his grades and even started to enjoy physics. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and supportive tutor!

Emily, 10 lessons with Jaison

Jaison knows what he is doing and was flexible making sure to explain the material in a manner which I would best understand.

I met with Jaison yesterday 2/17 and we spent 2hrs on physic 2 quiz problems. By the end of our session I understood what my content gaps were. I also feel more confident in solving challenging problems and will definitely book a tutoring session with him again
