How to study mathematics is learned. Learning how to study and practice Mathematics correctly is a skill that I teach that lays the foundation to build other classes on. Learning Mathematics disciplines the mind. Like anything involving the mind, it's normal to feel math anxiety at times. I look out for this in my students. I do not push or rush through the steps to the answer for a problem. The studying is in the steps. That's not the time for a teacher to rush. If the teacher rushes the process to the point that math anxiety arises this is a serious problem within itself. The student may now begin to feel lost. Eventually, us human get tired, weary, sleepy and shut down. That's not what math is all about. Math is fun when it is taught and studied correctly. It frees up your mind and make sense. So if you need help in math pick up the phone and call me. Often times when students need help with math it's late at night with no one to call for help. Pick up that phone and call me. I will be waiting right next to it.

I also taught this course. I taught at the Community Colleges of Baltimore County for over 17 years. One of my assignments was to go to the High School and teach college math.

I have worked with English as a second language students. ESL students do well in math even if they think that their English is not good. I had a student who got an A in my class and he was an ESL student. Sometimes language is not a barrier.

I did homeschooling in math. I used the zoom platform; google meet, What's App and Microsoft teams. I use the Microsoft whiteboard and a Wacom pen to annotate on the screen. I know how to share the screen and sound. I know how to alternate between the screen pages, play videos and do a host of other things when working with the student.
