With Master's degrees in Mathematics, in Computer Science, and in High School Math Education, I have been tutoring in several Math & Stats courses for 19+ years, extracurricular math enrichment for 6+, and have taught undergrad Math/Comp Sci classes at three Universities. I also have personal experience with math competitions and olympiads.
I am available for in-person help in Middle and High School, College, and ACT/SAT/GMAT/GRE/MTEL (standardized test)-level Mathematics, and Statistics and Physics in the Greater Boston area this semester. If you're from one of the neighboring towns, you may be interested.
My teaching experience includes Calculus, Multivariable Calculus, Discrete Math (Combinatorics & Graph Theory), Recreational Math, Proofs, Biostatistics, Linear Algebra, and a class on GRE/GMAT Prep on which I collaborated with another instructor.
I also conduct extra-curricular Math enrichment classes for middle and high schoolers in a math circle setting.
My tutoring experience includes, in addition to the courses listed above, Logic, Real and Complex Analysis, Algebra, Probability & Statistics, Differential Equations, Stochastic Processes, Number Theory, High School/GRE/GMAT/SAT-level and Actuarial-level Maths, High School Physics, and even a little Control Theory & Signal Processing, and Quantum Chemistry!
Even when helping people work through problem sets, my tutoring style focuses on gaining a grasp of the underlying theory, since that sets them up best for future problems they may come across. Over the years, I believe this approach has worked well.
