As a physicist with a Ph.D. and over 30 years of experience across higher education, scientific research, and industry, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the critical role mathematics, physics and chemistry play in understanding the physical world.
Throughout my career, I’ve taught physics and materials science at the university level, both in the United States, including at UMass Boston and MIT, and internationally. In these roles, I’ve supported students in mastering complex topics across physics, chemistry, and applied mathematics, helping them build the skills and confidence needed to thrive academically.
Beyond teaching, I’m passionate about innovation, especially where cutting-edge technology meets environmental sustainability. I’m the co-founder of Ambient Photonics Inc., where we develop energy-harvesting technologies optimized for real-world, low-light conditions.
I believe in making complex ideas accessible. I enjoy finding clear, intuitive ways to explain difficult concepts, sparking curiosity and encouraging students to move beyond memorization toward real understanding. Whether preparing for exams, working through challenging problem sets, or diving deeper into a subject, I aim to help students become independent, critical thinkers.
I’m currently based in the greater Boston area and offer both in-person and online tutoring sessions. I’d be happy to schedule a free consultation to learn more about your goals and explore how I can support your academic journey.
