I have a passion for helping others learn and be successful. I am a Military Veteran who has one on one tutoring experience teaching fellow Navy personnel in my area of expertise to help them become qualified for various certifications. My education consists of earning a Bachelors of Science degree in Business with Major in Accounting from Emporia State University, and an MBA from Baker University School of Professional and Graduate Studies. I am a CPA. I have over 17 years experience working in business including accounting, finance, and management roles at a CPA firm, a large retail chain, and a global manufacturing company. I have trained several personnel over that time period to help them learn systems and job tasks.
My areas of knowledge are accounting and business subjects for high school and college students. I customize my tutoring approach based on each students unique learning skill set and what works best for each student. My goal for each session is to keep the student challenged but not overwhelmed. My style is professional, friendly, and fun. I am flexible and I make adjustments as necessary to ensure satisfactory results for the student.
