In the past, I was a behavioral assistant at a summer program for preschool-aged children. I served as a Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) assistant, guiding a group of college-aged adults through the scientific research process. I helped them develop scientific writing skills, research skills, and project ideas. As a tutor, I think it is important to make an environment that is comfortable and conducive to learning. It should be a space where mistakes are okay and something that serves as a stepping stone to improvement.
