I am an Honors Neuroscience major on the pre-med track with a 4.0 GPA, and my academic background has given me a strong foundation in STEM courses as well as honors-level courses in English and the Social Sciences. Being part of my university’s Honors Program has required independent research, advanced writing techniques, and critical thinking, strengthening my ability to explain complex concepts clearly and logically. My dedication to academics has earned me multiple recognitions for leadership and academic excellence, and I approach tutoring with the same level of discipline and care.

Much of my teaching experience comes from coaching youth tennis and helping peers in science-based subjects. As a coach, I work with students ranging from elementary to high school, which has taught me how to be patient, adaptable, and encouraging while breaking down difficult techniques into simple, understandable steps. In college, I often help classmates before exams by reviewing key concepts, creating study strategies, and guiding them through areas they struggle with. These experiences have helped me develop clear communication skills and the ability to adjust my explanations to match different learning styles and confidence levels.

When I tutor, I focus on ensuring students understand the reasoning behind a topic rather than just memorizing information for a grade. I begin by asking questions to gauge their understanding and then build on that using real-world examples, step-by-step explanations, and active problem-solving. I believe that having a good foundation is critical in academic success. My goal is to help each student grow more confident and independent in their learning, adopting skills and strategies to use on their own. I know what it feels like to balance challenging coursework, extracurriculars, and limited time, so I strive to make sessions efficient, supportive, and personalized to each student’s goals.

Anatomy

Anatomy

I have a strong background in human anatomy and physiology through my pre-med coursework and prior high school studies. My coursework has included a detailed focus on body systems, structure-function relationships, and clinical applications, which has given me a deep understanding of anatomical terminology, organ systems, and physiological processes. My focus is on helping students break down complex structures, memorize terminology efficiently, and apply anatomy to real biological or medical contexts. I also assist with lab study strategies and clear explanations of muscles, bones, organ systems, and their functions.
Biology

Biology

I have a strong foundation in biology through my studies undergraduate pre-med neuroscience student. My background covers core biological concepts such as cell biology, introductory genetics, physiology, and how these systems connect to human health and disease. I focus on helping students truly understand the material—not just memorize it—by breaking down complex topics into clear, manageable ideas with real-world relevance. I also assist with exam preparation, scientific writing, and developing effective study strategies for success in biology courses.
Neuroscience

Neuroscience

I am a Neuroscience major with experience tutoring peers in introductory neuroscience classes, Neuropharmacology, and related courses. I also conduct undergraduate spinal cord research, where I study how neural pathways respond to trauma and how potential treatments may promote repair. My background allows me to clearly explain complex concepts such as synaptic transmission, brain anatomy, neurotransmitters, and drug effects on the nervous system. I help students prepare for exams, improve their scientific writing, and build exceptionally strong foundational understanding in neuroscience.
Sociology

Sociology

I have studied college-level sociology for three years with a strong focus on classical theorists such as Karl Marx, Émile Durkheim, and Georg Simmel. I specialize in helping students clearly understand these theories and apply them effectively in essays, discussions, and exam responses. I also assist with organizing arguments, improving sociological writing, and breaking down complex exam topics into manageable ideas. My goal is to help students not just memorize theory, but confidently use it to think critically and write clearly.
