I am a 57 yrs old, married and a mother of two grown boys ages 27 and 22. I have been working in the Funeral Industry for the past 31 years as a Funeral Director and Manager. My company was sold and is currently monopolizing Orlando so I have decided to do something else that has always interested me. For many years I taught Spanish as a Volunteer in Miami and in Orlando from 1998-2002. I led the "Un Poquito de Espanol" program in Orange County until it was phased out of the system. I taught at Endeavor Elementary and Hunters Creek Middle School as well as mentored at Cypress Creek High School.
I am also a big sister to a mentally challenged, now 51 yr old female. My little sister has always been close to my heart and due to English not being my parents first language, I represented my sister throughout her challenges in school, training centers and now as an independent adult living in a group home. My early years with her were most of all as a teacher and counselor which led me to my love for teaching and volunteering. I feel I can easily assist as a tutor for both Spanish and/or special needs children.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
