I have been teaching high school mathematics for 20 years. I am also adjunct faculty at Cairn University due to the dual enrollment Calculus course I teach on my campus. I've been tutoring mathematics at all levels since 2001. I have mostly tutored without an agent, but for several years in South Dakota I tutored through Club Z! In-Home Tutoring. My agent called me "Two-Weeks Karin," because my clients would go from D's and F's to A's and B's in just two weeks. The school where I am employed has documented the rise in ACT and SAT scores in our students since I took over the position in 2013. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and an M.Ed in Curriculum & Instruction: Mathematics K-14. I worked as a course assistant while at school at SUNY in Linear Algebra 1 and 2 for three years. While I have taught all age groups, I prefer to work with students grade 9 through college. I am ACSI-certified in elementary and secondary mathematics. I am a math nerd who solves linear algebra problems and simplifies trig functions in my spare time just for the fun of it (much like how some people work crossword puzzles). I enjoy helping others learn to enjoy the fun of mathematics.
