I’m Joaquin, I graduated from Code Fellows coding academy with a certificate in Full Stack Javascript and recently became a recipient and graduate of a Grow with Google Android developer scholarship. Over the years I've developed professionally with various technologies including Python, React, React Native, Android, Javascript, Drupal and PHP. While attending coding school I realized programming is a natural human skill similar to writing and reading and I can be learned by anyone, as long as the teacher makes it enjoyable, engaging and offer additional help and clarification to help reinforce the material learned in class. I include that experience to my approach in Tutoring. I make things simple, easy to digest, and enjoyable. Afterwards I recommend practice and suggest real world projects that help build the students portfolio.

I have one year of teaching assistant experience from Code Fellows and five plus years of professional programming experience in Full Stack development. While assisting teachers at code school I provided extra help to programming students who needed extra clarification on a class topic and always went the extra mile to work together in finding a solution to their problem. I also made sure to find a simple clear example to better demonstrate and clarify it.

My mission is to benefit students who could use some help getting started in programming, need help getting unstuck or even programmers with some experience who want to build their skills. I prefer working with modern Javascript frameworks, but also enjoy implementing vanilla Javascript, jQuery where needed. I've architected, designed and built multiple React Native apps currently live in the Play/Apple stores.

Joaquin is very knowledgeable and as soon as he saw my code he knew exactly what to do and he was very patient with. Also for each step he helps you with he makes sure you understand everything before moving into the next step.
