As a Ph.D. student in Aerospace Engineering Sciences at the University of Colorado Boulder, with a 4.0 GPA from Georgia Tech and internships at top aerospace companies including Blue Origin, Northrop Grumman, and Ball Aerospace, I bring a unique approach to tutoring. My focus areas are mathematics, physics, and engineering. What sets me apart is not just technical expertise but my ability to make complex concepts accessible, especially for younger students or those struggling to understand the material. I often share with students that I taught myself differential equations from a textbook and tested out of the course. This experience strengthened my ability to learn independently and now helps me teach students how to build their own effective learning strategies.

My teaching experience began as a Teaching Assistant for college level multivariable calculus and differential equations at Georgia Tech during my 2nd and 3rd year of college, where I led weekly recitations, administered and graded quizzes, held office hours, and ran personalized review sessions for over multiple sections. My approach combines patient, step-by-step instruction with an emphasis on problem-solving and critical thinking, helping students build both competence and confidence. I also like to find learning shortcuts that make concepts easier to apply under test-taking scenarios. I value structure, organization, and clear communication during tutoring and setting up a schedule. For students in a high school or college class, I find that having a copy of the class syllabus and/or PDF of the textbook makes tutoring much more successful.

Beyond the classroom, I’ve taught students in woodworking and led peer mentoring programs through national organizations. I genuinely enjoy teaching, plan to become a professor after my PhD, and I take pride in helping students get through their classes!

Algebra 1

Algebra 1

I have taught algebra-based material as a teaching assistant and mentored students in mathematics throughout college. My background in aerospace engineering requires constant use of algebraic reasoning. I can break down abstract concepts into concrete steps and adapt tutoring to fit each student's learning pace.
Algebra 2

Algebra 2

I have taught algebra-based material as a teaching assistant and mentored students in mathematics throughout college. My background in aerospace engineering requires constant use of algebraic reasoning. I can break down abstract concepts into concrete steps and adapt tutoring to fit each student's learning pace.
Calculus

Calculus

I’ve taught multivariable calculus and differential equations (as a teaching assistant) and held one-on-one tutoring sessions. I have administered and graded tests for such classes which gives me unique insight into preparing for college calculus exams. What sets me apart is that I know how to teach students how to utilize their class textbooks and online resources in a way that allows them to continue learning on their own. For those taking AP classes or SAT's, I have perfect scores on all AP tests, SAT Subject Tests, and the SAT Math section.
Differential Equations

Differential Equations

I’ve taught differential equations (as a teaching assistant) to large college classes at Georgia Tech and held one-on-one tutoring sessions that emphasized both conceptual understanding and practical application. I have administered and graded tests for such classes which gives me unique insight into preparing for college calculus exams. With this experience, I also have great resources and learning aids that make learning and applying these concepts easy!
Elementary Math

Elementary Math

I’ve mentored younger students in basic arithmetic and problem solving with a focus on building strong foundations. I adjust my teaching to match each child’s pace and learning style, helping them develop both confidence and curiosity. My approach emphasizes clarity, encouragement, and developing a positive mindset toward math. I aim to make learning both engaging and effective for younger learners.
Linear Algebra

Linear Algebra

I have strong foundational and applied knowledge of linear algebra. Not only have I learned the theoretical concepts of the subject, but I have also used concepts from the subject in advanced topics such as state estimation and orbit determination during my PhD. I also have been a teaching assistant for Differential Equations while at Georgia Tech, which draws upon topics learned in linear algebra.
MATLAB

MATLAB

I have over five years of hands-on experience using MATLAB for advanced engineering applications in academic settings as well as five internships. I took a dedicated MATLAB course at Georgia Tech and have used it extensively in my Ph.D. research for tasks ranging from data visualization to simulation and algorithm development. My current research involves modeling asteroid dynamics and spacecraft navigation which relies heavily on MATLAB's computational capabilities. Whether you're just starting or need help with advanced projects, I can guide you through the software effectively and clearly.
Physics

Physics

My academic and research experience in aerospace engineering involves deep application of physics concepts, especially in mechanics, motion, and energy. I’ve worked on space systems and propulsion technologies, which require a strong command of classical and applied physics. What sets me apart is that I know how to teach students how to utilize their class textbooks and online resources in a way that allows them to continue learning on their own. For those taking AP classes or SAT's, I have perfect scores on AP Physics C (Mech, E/M), SAT Subject Test for Physics, and the SAT Math section.
Prealgebra

Prealgebra

I work with students to build a strong understanding of numbers, variables, and basic equations. My teaching approach breaks down abstract concepts into easy-to-follow steps and real-world examples. I help students transition smoothly from arithmetic to algebra by reinforcing logic, structure, and pattern recognition.
Precalculus

Precalculus

Precalculus is essential for success in higher-level math, and I teach it with clarity and focus. With years of experience in calculus-heavy engineering courses, I break down trigonometry, functions, and polynomial behavior into understandable pieces. I’ve helped students bridge the gap between algebra and calculus by reinforcing both conceptual and procedural understanding.

Outstanding tutor! Fun to work with and very knowledgeable in Calculus.

Totally patient, super encouraging, and incredibly clear. He started by getting to know your background and exactly where you're getting stuck, then walk you through problems step by step, never assuming anything. he prepared problems, solutions and he knew the AP calculus course well. He adjusts the pace, makes sure you're confidently picking up each concept, and never rushes. I was able to complete my whole Calculus summer packet because of his help.

Organized and Prepared and works with you

We are glad to have found Ashish as my daughter’s tutor. She is rising sophomore and wants to cover the math and physics before the school starts to giver her a head start. Ashish worked with her to lay out the plan and course and provided really great resources to her and his classes go very smoothly and she is understanding all the new concepts.
