Hi, I'm Viola Lee and I'm currently an Applied Mathematics major at the University of California, San Diego and I have about 3 years of tutoring experience. I worked as a teaching assistant and tutor for math and reading at the Kumon Institute of Education where I supported students of all grade levels, ranging from pre-K to high school. Furthermore, I was a one-on-one math tutor for 2 years during high school through a tutoring club
Additionally, I graduated as Valedictorian from my high school and took AP Calculus AB (Score of 5), AP Statistics (4), AP English Language and Comp (4), AP English Literature and Comp (5), AP US History (5), AP US Government (5), AP Chemistry (4), AP Biology (4), and more. I specialize in all levels of math- from elementary to Calculus, so whether you're preparing for an exam, doing homework, or learning new math topics, I am here to help you succeed.
Math can feel intimidating at times, but I firmly believe that a good teacher or tutor can be what helps you succeed. Rather than lecturing on topics, I will guide you through examples and practice problems, as repetition is so important in math. I'm patient, approachable, and always happy to answer questions about anything, even things unrelated to math. I can tutor in other subjects such as English, Science, History, and I can even provide advice on college applications.
I want to benefit the students I work with as much as possible, therefore I accept any suggestions that parents and students provide. Feel free to reach out with any questions or to schedule a lesson—I’d love to help you succeed!
