For the past 19 years, I have been a mathematics and science teacher at two different K-8 schools and one middle school. When I started in the spring of 1998, I worked as an assistant in a classroom of 40 students who ranged in age from Kindergarten to 5th grade.
As my first school grew and expanded, I was promoted to Head Mathematics Teacher and entrusted with the job of creating a curriculum for the newly added 6th, 7th and 8th grades. During the time of my employment, our mathematics department was outperforming every other department in the school. All of my eighth-grade students consistently test well on ISEE and other high school entry exams, and many of my students either test into honors mathematics classes upon matriculation or test out of freshman math classes all together.
I love mathematics and science, and I love teaching. I believe my passion for mathematics and science is what makes me a great teacher and tutor. My goal is always to spread that passion and love of learning to my students.
