Bio

I am a college mathematics instructor and have tutored mathematics for more than 10 years. While my students mostly come from colleges and universities, I tutor a wide range of mathematical subjects for students of all ages and professions from various fields. Subjects I tutor include Algebra (Prealgebra and Advanced), Statistics, Calculus (I and II), Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, Logical Reasoning and many more. I have helped people prepare for exams such as their SAT, ACT, LSAT,...

I am a college mathematics instructor and have tutored mathematics for more than 10 years. I tutor online through the amazing Wyzant whiteboard as well as over zoom. Algebra 1 is one of the most popular subjects that I tutor and teach, and I received a 100% on the Wyzant algebra 1 proficiency quiz. I use algebra heavily in all my own math work as well, so both my math and instructional skills to help other students learn and enjoy math are well polished.

I have tutored Algebra 2 for more than 5 years, it is in fact one of the more popular subjects that I tutor! I use algebra 2 very heavily in my coursework, tutoring, and teaching as well.
Calculus

Calculus

I have taken all courses in the Calculus sequence in my undergraduate program, and consistently use core Calculus skills in my math classes that I have taken, taught, and tutored. I tutor Calculus the most often and the last class I taught was Calculus II so I make sure to condition and maintain my Calculus proficiency. I am confident that I can help with all your Calculus needs in the most understandable and even interesting way!
Differential Equations

I have taken 3 differential equations courses, introduction and advanced in undergraduate and graduate school all with A and B grades. I have tutored students in differential equations, taught a course in differential equations, and also scored a 94% on my Wyzant differential equations assessment exam. Discrete Math

I have taken two courses in Discrete Mathematics, one at Loyola Marymount University and the other at Claremont Graduate University where I received the grades of a B then an A. I worked on projects and presentations in topics such as graph theory, Markov Chains, and plenty of applications of probability and combinatorics. These classes were among the more recent courses I have taken, and my knowledge and skills in Discrete Math are thus very sharp and conditioned.

I have tutored and taught students from Elementary to Middle School as well as Elementary level math for students in higher grades. So I have effective and diverse ways of teaching the fundamental concepts to students who find better understanding and performance in their math skills when and after working with me.

I have taken 4 courses in Linear Algebra at Santa Monica College, Harvey Mudd College, and in a summer enrichment program (EDGE). Each time was a more conditioning and enjoyable experience for me that has made Linear Algebra feel like second nature to me. Prealgebra

I taught two courses in Prealgebra recently in Fall 2018 and Winter 2019. I consistently use my Prealgebra skills in my tutoring and teaching in any of my work and courses. I am both proficient in my Prealgebra skills and more importantly my skills in teaching the subject in a patient, understandable, and interesting way.

I took AP Statistics and received an A in the class, and a 5 on the AP exam. I have taken several probability and statistics courses throughout my undergraduate and graduate programs, and statistics just tends to come more clearly to me than any other subject (I also scored a 94% on the Wyzant stats assessment exam). Students tell me that I am often able to turn the complex problems, logic, and multiple processes of statistics into simple, comprehensible tasks for them. I will make sure to help with your Statistics needs with utmost clarity, patience, and great enthusiasm to make Probability and Stats understandable and also interesting!

I have helped tutor students for their SAT exams perhaps the most from any other subjects and areas that I teach. I am the most comfortable, patient, and effective at helping students with preparing for and passing their SAT exams with high scores. I also scored a 100% on the SAT component on the Wyzant testing assessment and am happy to help you with any of your SAT prepping needs.

I also taught Statistics for high school students in an enrichment program in Los Angeles.
