Hi, I have a B.S. in mechanical engineering (magna cum laude), an A.S. in math, and an A.A. in general studies with an emphasis on biological and physical sciences. I know that some challenges can seem overwhelming, and that is why I am here to help you move forward.

If you feel embarrassed because you don't know something, don't worry about it with me. I want to know thoroughly what you don't know so I can help you as much as possible. Do not be afraid to tell me what you don't know; I'm here to make sure you can gain confidence so that you can meet those academic challenges head on with boldness.

I have a firm grasp of all math subjects from arithmetic and algebra to calculus. Do you need help factoring a trinomial? Do you need help determining the least common denominator in order to add fractions? Maybe you need assistance to solve equations with logarithms and variables in an exponent? Do you need help determining a limit? Perhaps you need help with differentiation or integration? I can help.

As a mechanical engineer, I also understand physics. Are Newton's laws giving you a headache? Are you having trouble understanding the difference between mass and weight? Do you find the concept of work puzzling? Need help using Ohm"s Law for electric circuits?

If you need help in programming, I know MATLAB and Arduino programming (similar to C). I know how to program Arduinos and build an electronics project with them.

If you need help with CAD, I know how to use SolidWorks. I have some exposure to Unigraphics (NX). I also have done some static-stress simulations using SolidWorks (FEA). I'm also currently learning to use Ansys for FEA and CFD as well.

MATLAB is a common software and interpreted language used for analysis in engineering and scientific disciplines. It is used for things like numerical methods, statistics, plotting, and more; it has toolboxes for greater utility, like control systems applications. It provides an easier way to be introduced into programming. As a graduate in mechanical engineering, I successfully used MATLAB to write code to solve problems in heat transfer, mechanics, and numerical methods. I can also use it to interact with electronics, like Arduino boards. Whether a simple calculation is required, or a complex calculation with thousands of iterations, I can guide the student to write code that produces the desired results.

In differential calculus, you begin by studying limits, and you then apply methods of determining limits to the difference quotient. The limit of the difference quotient is what we call the derivative. The derivative has many applications, including the ability to determine the velocity and accelerations of an object when the position of the object is known with respect to time. From differential calculus we proceed to integral calculus.
