Helping people has been a rewarding life-long endeavor and tutoring has been a medium for the last 15 years. I started tutoring family and friends in core math classes like Geometry and Algebra and realized it was incredibly fulfilling. I've branched out with additional specialized subjects including, but not limited to Corporate Finance, Derivatives, Portfolio Management and Statistics. Some of these classes can be intimidating and confusing for students. My goal is to simplify the material, making it easier to understand and if necessary improve your math skills and business foundation.
Graduating with a focus in finance and accounting has given me a well-rounded knowledge of most business courses, but I've continued to hone my knowledge of these subjects amongst others with real-world experience working as a marketing director, financial consultant and advisor. Currently, I am also participating in a graduate-level study program to achieve my Chartered Financial Analyst designation. This program allows me to share the student perspective, and teach almost every level of math and finance.
My students would describe me as patient and accommodating. I'm very flexible with hours available. If you or someone you know needs help with their academics contact me. I look forward to helping you reach your short and long term education goals.

Adam is really patient, smart, and clearly explains problems step by step. He tutored me in masters level finance and statistics courses including credit risk, liquidity risk, structured finance, and reputational risk. He was always on time and was really flexible with his schedule. I would seek his assistance again in a heartbeat!
Picked up concepts fast, knew the subject matter inside and out, was kind and patient, and was great at explaining difficult concepts. Highly recommend!
Adam is an excellent tutor, thoroughly informed in all areas of statistics. Adam is patient, thoughtful, and breaks down the complicatedness of statistics in layman's terms so you can understand it. Adams the BEST!!!!!
I just completed a five week intensive graduate level finance class. Im a non-math major, and Adam successfully coached me. He was able to quickly access my learning capabilities and break down the material so that I could comprehend it. He holds a degree and an esteemed certification in the area of finance. Adam is an elite tutor: he is an extraordinary listener, patient, and knowledgable. He came to our sessions with an upbeat attitude, on time, and committed to the task at hand. Under his guidance I found my class topic interesting as well as the confidence to pass the course with high marks. I highly recommend Adam and will continue working with him.
I highly recommend Adam as a statistic tutor. He is totally reliable, timely and takes a lot of pride in his work. Specifically, Adam was hired when my son was struggling terrible in AP statistics. Adam was always on time and would always make sure my son understood what he was teaching by demanding my son demonstrate or explain things to prove he understood. Through Adam, my son went from failing AP stats to obtaining a 100% score on his final exam.
Went over 10 Chapters in a 5 hour period and I learned exactly what I needed to learn in order to be ready for my exam.
During my time working with Adam, he was flexible with times and extremely punctual always arriving on time to our scheduled meetings. He was very professional and always came prepared to our meetings. He helped walk me through my college statistics course step by step (breaking down each problem) and made sure I was confident going into each examination. With Adams help I was able to get an "A" in my statistics course and gain an overall better understanding of the course material. I highly recommend using Adam as a math tutor!
The class began in Nov 2014, and I was accepted into the school Feb 2015. My admissions counselor said that I could start right away in an online statistics class and enroll a few days before the "late registration" deadline. I went ahead and enrolled, although it would've been to my benefit to way. The class was already 6 chapters ahead! What was I thinking? I was SSSOOO stressed out that I couldn't concentrate, let alone remember what I was studying!
I looked on WyzAnt for a tutor & found Adam. In about 7 weeks, this guy helped me get caught up and I ended up 3 points shy of an A!!! I originally thought that I would fail or that I would have to drop out of the class with a "no credit", minus what I had already paid into it.
Hiring Adam really reduced lots of anxiety and stress, and he really knew statistics.
Adam helped me learn a semester's worth of financial calculating material in one session. I am not exaggerating! I didn't even know how to use a financial calculator. A potential employer gave me 2 days to master the material and said he would give me a test after. I passed the test and got the job!!! Adam is very patient, good at explaining concepts in multiple ways, professional, and incredibly smart. I got the job because of his help!!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
