Hi! I'm Noah.
A graduate of Oakwood Secondary School, I hold a 4.50 GPA in APs/Honors and a 34.25 on the ACT (top 1%). I'm currently taking a gap year before starting at the University of Pennsylvania in 2026. I have 3+ years of experience working with kids as a babysitter and sleepaway camp counselor.
I tutor in:
SPANISH - Lived with host family in rural Spain for five weeks; full language immersion. Six years of academic study. Near conversational fluency.
ENGLISH - Scored a 36 (perfect score) on the ACT reading and English sections.
MATH - Scored a 34 on the ACT math section (99th percentile) and earned an A+ in my school's most challenging math course, "Advanced Number Theory."
SCIENCE - Completed my school's most advanced science curriculum with top marks.
SOCIAL STUDIES - Completed my school's most advanced curriculum with top marks, including nontraditional courses such as "Advanced Civil Rights and Liberties."
ACADEMIC WRITING - Written 20+ research papers. Peer-reviewed college admissions essays.
STUDY STRATEGIES - Well-versed in time management skills: earned 4.0 unweighted GPA while founding two non-profit organizations, applying to college, and balancing full extracurricular load.
As a recent high school graduate, I know what study methods actually work—because I used them myself just a few months ago. I speak my students’ language. My approach is hyper-customized: after assessing a student's learning style (verbal, visual, kinesthetic, etc.), we dive into our target concepts. As a tutor, I'm here to not just give answers, but to ask the right questions to help my students figure it out themselves.
I believe the secret to academic retention is engagement and fun. Through gamified self-competition, clear session goals, and genuine rapport, my tutoring sessions are (almost) as fun as my camp counseling.
Overall, I love working with kids––and they love working with me!
