To maximize lesson time, I review session materials beforehand to address questions efficiently. I also check in with students after lessons and encourage them to reach out if they need more help. Concepts are first clearly explained, followed by guided practice to reinforce understanding but my teaching approach is flexible and aims to cater to each student's learning style.
I have strong academic qualifications, including a 1490/1520 on the PSAT/NMSQT, earning National Merit Scholar recognition. I graduated high school with a 4.7 GPA, taking only AP and honors classes, and was named an AP Scholar with Distinction for scoring 4s and 5s on over ten AP exams. I also scored 35/36 on the ACT, giving me a solid foundation for helping students with test preparation.
During my senior year of high school, I co-founded a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit tutoring organization to support students during the transition to remote learning brought on by the pandemic. Through this initiative, I provided over 200 hours of free tutoring in math and science for students from kindergarten to high school. I am most comfortable teaching elementary math, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and Physics.
