Hi, I'm Jackie, a professional writing coach, editor, & instructor with an MFA in Creative Writing. For more than a decade, I've been working with writers to help them discover their voices and their best stories. I have extensive experience working with writers on personal essay, personal statement, memoir, novel, short story, and screenwriting. As a coach, I will help you brainstorm, develop, and structure your work. As a former professional editor, I will also assist you with syntax, word choice, and grammar. I am proficient in offering both macro- and micro-feedback. It would be my privilege to guide and support you as you craft a spectacular college essay that captures your authentic self and blows away readers in the admissions office.

I am a Northwestern graduate with an MFA in Creative Writing. I have more than five years experience as a professional copy editor and magazine editor. I conduct my own private creative writing workshops, work privately with writers as a coach and editor, and teach in the Writers' Program at UCLA Extension. A published personal essayist myself, I know how to craft essays that make an impact. As a teacher, I have extensive experience working with students from age 5 to 75. I want every single one of them to succeed.
