Hello! I’m a licensed attorney admitted to practice in Colorado, Oregon, and Washington, and I bring a unique perspective to tutoring with a background as a former clinical social worker. My experience in both fields has shaped a compassionate, patient, and practical approach to teaching. I understand that legal education can feel overwhelming, and I strive to make complex concepts more accessible by tailoring my methods to each student’s learning style. I’ve worked with adult learners and students from a variety of backgrounds, and I take pride in helping people build confidence in their legal knowledge.
I attended UCLA for undergraduate school, earned by master of social work from the University of Washington, and my Juris Doctor from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law. I earned A’s in Civil Procedure, Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, and Property, served as a Civil Procedure Teaching Assistant for 1Ls, and was selected for Law Review in law school. I scored in the 90th percentile on the Uniform Bar Exam (UBE) in July 2018, scoring a 310 - a score that would allow me to practice in any UBE jurisdiction. I have recent experience as a grader for practice bar exam essays for Barbri. Despite these achievements, I began law school feeling unprepared and struggled, especially since I returned to law school after 12-years of practice as a social worker, until I discovered strategies that made the material more manageable. Now, I help others do the same.
Whether you're a 1L trying to grasp the fundamentals, a bar applicant preparing for the UBE, or someone returning to the field after time away, I can offer personalized support to help you succeed.
