I am a native Spanish speaker who has studied the language extensively. I learned Spanish in my home and studied it formally throughout my college years. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Spanish with a teaching emphasis and a minor in Portuguese.
I continued to study Spanish at Georgetown University where I received a Master's Degree in Spanish Linguistics. Both Georgetown and SDSU prepared me for my career, but not only as a teacher of a language, but as a language learner, as well....

Conversational Spanish, with feedback on grammar and vocabulary.The classes are enjoyable and the time goes by in a flash. The courses provide me a chance to work on the material I study between classes.

Judy appeared to do an excellent job assessing my son's skill level in this first lesson. After a brief family discussion, she focused on talking in depth with him for the rest of the hour. He was very comfortable with her approach and was given clear direction on what to work on next.

Judy really went to a lot of effort to find out what my son's strengths and weaknesses were so she could narrow in on gaps in his knowledge. She maximizes her time during the tutoring sessions and leaves the student with a very clear goal for the following session. She is very encouraging during the sessions to build up my son's confidence.
