Hope is so kind and patient. Our daughter was nervous about the idea of having a tutor, but she loves Hope! She is engaging and makes our daughter so proud of herself, which leads to her trying harder for Hope. Hope explains things perfectly. She is a great help in Math, writing, Spanish, etc. She really knows her stuff! Very lucky to have found her!

Spanish Tutoring with Hope!

This review is long over due - Hope has been tutoring my 4th grader with Spanish - he is currently attending a Dual Immersion program and has needed some extra help that his parents cannot give him. Hope is an excellent tutor and knows her stuff!!!! My son is quite shy and was not on board with our idea of hiring a tutor but after his first session with her all his hesitation was pushed aside as Hope is patient, attentive and very personable ...excellent with children!

Excellent Spanish/History tutor

Hope has been tutoring my daughter who is Junior at a private high school for few months now. Overall, she has exceeded my expectation. Hope is a motivator and knows how to encourage my daughter to excel in her Spanish course. Hope provides a written summary at the end of each session, flexible with scheduling and always on-time. We intend to seek her help in other subject areas such as History. In a nutshell, I wish we know of her services sooner and I would highly recommend her to any student.

There are a few characteristics that make up a great teacher/tutor: Respect for students-Hope makes it easy for my son to express and be himself. She creates a welcoming learning environment. Warm, accessible, enthusiastic and caring- Hope is approachable, not only to my son, but to my daughter, husband and I. Great teachers possess good listening skills and take time out of their way-too-busy schedules for anyone who needs them. Sets high expectations- Hope realizes that the expectations she has for my son greatly affect his achievement; she knows that my son will give as much or as little as is expected of him. My son has shown great improvement in his Spanish class. He is more confident and speaks more. Her own love of learning- Hope inspires my son with her passion for education and for the course material. Maintains professionalism-From personal appearance to organizational skills, communication and preparedness for each day. She is exemplary. While teaching is a gift that seems to come quite naturally for some, others have to work overtime to achieve great teacher status. Hope definitely is a natural and possesses the characteristics of a great teacher (tutor). I believe she is someone we can count on as a teacher/tutor to be remembered for years to come and selfishly I didn't want to write a review for fear that her time would be consumed by others in need. However, I know that if the time came she would find a way to accommodate additional time.
