Excellent math, physics, biology, chemistry, science tutor

I'm a UCLA graduate, with a bachelor's degree in Bioengineering. My degree included courses in many levels of math (algebra, algebra II, trigonometry, precalculus, calculus, linear algebra, differential equations), biology, chemistry, biochemistry and engineering. In high school and college I tutored several students in algebra II, geometry, precalculus and calculus.

While I don't have direct experience tutoring the sciences (biology, chemistry, biochem, etc.) I participated in many study groups throughout college and through these study groups I gained experience explaining science topics to other students.

Tutoring should be a positive experience, where a student both learns the concepts and builds self confidence in their abilities. As a tutor, I seek to find the best way approach for each individual student to understand the topic or idea.

I have a younger sister with learning disabilities and have seen through her learning experiences the importance of using alternative approaches to present ideas and information in a way that she is able to understand. As a result, I've learned to be comfortable presenting ideas several ways to ensure my students have a firm understanding. I enjoy seeing my students confidence grow as they learn and overcome anxieties they may have had about the subjects.
