I also tutor students preparing for the bar exam and college students taking law-related courses.

Law school exams require more than simply knowing the rules. I help students understand difficult concepts, recognize the issues professors are testing, apply the law effectively to a set of facts, and organize clear, persuasive exam answers. Depending on what you need, we can work through hypotheticals and practice exams, review and strengthen outlines, clarify course material, or improve legal writing and analysis.

I help bar examinees strengthen their understanding of substantive law as well as their essay writing, MBE strategy, issue spotting, legal analysis, and Performance Test skills. Bar preparation requires more than memorizing rules. Depending on your needs, we can work through practice essays and MBE questions, identify patterns in missed questions, improve rule statements and application, review substantive topics, or develop a more effective approach to timed essays and Performance Tests. I tailor sessions to the areas where you need the most help rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. I help law students strengthen their legal writing, analysis, organization, and editing skills for memos, briefs, exam answers, and other law school assignments. Strong legal writing is about more than grammar or proofreading. I work with students on identifying and organizing issues, developing clear rule statements, applying law to facts, structuring analysis using IRAC, CREAC, and similar frameworks, and writing with greater clarity and precision. I can also help you recognize weaknesses in your own draft and develop strategies for revising it effectively. My goal is to help you become a stronger and more independent legal writer. Rather than simply correcting a document, I explain why particular changes improve the analysis or presentation so that you can apply those skills to future assignments. Whether you’re learning legal writing for the first time or trying to make an already solid draft more precise and persuasive, I tailor each session to your specific needs.
