Professional, Respectful and genuinely cares

I was looking for a Algebra 1 tutor for my daughter. I found Mr. Carl on a friends FB page and contacted him. I was able to get a tutoring session for the next day. We met at a local library, he arrived ahead of our scheduled time. Prior to our meet, he requested specific information about what my daughter is currently learning and what she needs help with so that he can customize a plan for her. Mr. Carl was very professional upon our meeting and very respectful towards both myself and my daughter. I greatly appreciated that he listened to my concerns and reassured me that he could help her. He showed genuine care for her success. During the session, Mr. Carl was patient, knowledgeable, he explained things to her in a clear and thorough way and most importantly, she got it!! After the session, she felt confident enough to say she wants to retake a quiz in her Algebra class for a better grade. As a parent, I want my daughter to be successful and I am confident that with Mr. Carl's help, she will regain her focus and confidence in math. I have already scheduled another session for my daughter.

First Tutoring Lesson

Today was my son's first lesson with Carl. He was very professional and patient with him. He explained how he helps his students and after the session he even went over what he taught my son. Me being a me and trying to get feed back from my son once we were in our car, I asked how the lesson went while I was away while he had his lesson and he said Carl was cool and not mean at all.. He said he leaned alot from him so we will definitely see Carl for more lessons! He's excellent.

Excellent Tutor

Carl is a task master. My son 7th grade son frequently gets off task or starts interesting conversations. Carl quietly listens and respectfully and calmly redirects him back to the assignment. He notes my son's weaknesses and helps my son become aware of his own bad habits as well. Our mantra is now "take the steps not the shortcuts" since my son has tried to do some of his work in his head or do multiple steps at once in the past (which usually resulted in silly mistakes). My son now feels confident and is getting A's and B's on his exams and quizzes. Carl is also very reliable and always on time. To date we have never had a lesson cancellation and he has always been punctual. I can't say enough positive things about Carl. We are lucky to have found him. His methodical and quiet approach is exactly what what my talkative, sometimes distracted son needed!

Carl is teaching my son pre-algebra. We have been struggling for months. My son had gone to a tutor math company which was expensive and unfortunately didn't help because he was distracted by the other kids. He needed one on one tutoring. We've seen a huge improvement in a short time. Carl is extremely patient and gives tips for my son to grasp the subject. He also emphasizes organization. It's well worth the money! It's working.

Carl, tutored my son who is a 9th grader taking Algebra 1. This was our first tutoring session and it went very well. I like that Carl takes his time and that he builds the foundation and concept and teaches his students how to look for solutions to solve the problems. We look forward to working with Carl again.

Friendly and knowledgeable

My daughter had her first tutoring session with Mr. Carl yesterday. From the moment we arrived, he was pleasant and friendly. Prior to the session, he asked if there was anything in particular I wanted him to cover. I made a list and sent it to him. At the session, he had me go into detail what my daughter needed to review and I explained my concerns for her to understand and be able to explain her work. After the session, he went over with me what they had discussed and showed me the work they'd done. We scheduled another session. My daughter liked that Mr. Carl was patient and explained things in detail with her. We have another session next week. I'm so happy that we found a good fit for us with Mr. Carl!
