Mathematics has a way of building up pretty quickly, and you soon find yourself lost without knowing why! Due to this, I try my best to gear each lesson to the individual student, to pinpoint strengths and weaknesses, and address areas of deficiency which you may not even realize hamper your readiness to tackle more difficult mathematics. During lessons, we will proceed to work through those roadblocks in an intuitive fashion. Given my strong background in mathematics, I can also readily tailor lessons to a variety of thinking styles: for instance, if you are visually oriented, you might find it easier to grasp algebra using concepts in geometry.
I tutor Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Multivariable Calculus, SAT Math, GRE Math, Brief Calculus, Business Calculus, and Probability.
I tutor for ages middle school through adult. I have tutored high school and college students one on one, mostly for subjects such as algebra and calculus. I have also taught many students pro bono, to help them pass their exams in short duration using various strategies, often helping them achieve a pass starting right on the day before an exam. My teaching approach is to meet the student where they are at, to build them up based on their strengths. I work to develop intuitive mathematical understanding by boiling down complicated topics in an accessible way.
