Hi there! I bring a wealth of teaching and private tutoring experience. In the past 20 years, I have helped over 300 private tutoring students to reach their potential and thrive in school. I am a current an educational consultant partnering with school districts across the nation improve education for all students, so I understand the current trends in education and am aware of new and effective learning strategies. Currently, I am available to tutor most subjects from elementary through high school (Math, English, Social Studies, History, Writing, Science, SAT and ACT Prep, etc). My specialties include teaching special education, advanced, and gifted students. Within the past five years, I have also assisted families in the college admissions process by advising on best-match schools, helping with college essays, prepping for interviews and entrance exams.
In addition to being a math teacher, I am also have a EdD in Math and Special Education. I feel this situates me to be the best possible tutor and educator as I actively practice best teaching practices that are rooted in research. I operate on the belief that everyone can learn and I work patiently (but with urgency) to help all of our students obtain their goals.
