Bachelor in Economics - University of Guayaquil (Economics)
Hola! My name is Carolina and I am from Ecuador. Eight years ago, I moved to Arizona sponsored by AIESEC, International Association of Students in Economics Sciences located at Arizona State University. I hold a bachelor of Economics from the University of Guayaquil - Ecuador and a Certificate in Decision Making on Administrative, Financial and Governmental Issues from the Technical Institute of Monterrey, Mexico.
While in Ecuador, I worked as a manager for a multinational corporation which required professional level speaking & writing. This position gave me the opportunity to conduct seminars and train up to 200 attendees. Currently, I work in the healthcare industry.
I am fascinated with cross-cultural affairs and have traveled to seventeen countries enjoying many diverse experiences and backgrounds. This has been an exceptionally enriching experience. My favorite hobby is to study Hispanic Literature. Its elegance and power to describe events, things and people captivate me.
I am looking forward to teaching the delicacy and beauty of my native language, Spanish!

Carolina is an excellent teacher. I always leave feeling I'm one step closer to my goal of being able to hold a conversation with those I will meet in Peru in a few months.
Carolina is a great tutor. She is very energetic and makes the lessons fun. She is patient and has great techniques for helping you retain the information. I do business in Mexico and she was able to help me take my Spanish reading and writing skills to the next level.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
To learn a new language successfully, it is critical to focus on a full immersion program. This can be achieved by using graphics, clear examples and repetition exercises. My students will only speak Spanish while in the classroom.
Mastering a new language should be a fun and adventurous process. I will do my best to achieve this goal! The classes can be customized based on the students’ needs. We will focus on verb conjugation, articles (plural, singular, masculine and feminine), pronunciation and conversation.
