As a certified dyslexia therapist with a Master's in Reading Education (K–12) and an ESOL endorsement, I specialize in helping students become confident, capable readers using evidence-based, structured literacy methods. I have nearly a decade of classroom experience, with additional expertise in intervention settings, one-on-one instruction, and small group remediation. My background includes training in Take Flight, Orton-Gillingham-based programs, and the Science of Reading, and I am passionate about reaching struggling readers and helping them thrive.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked with students from diverse cultural and academic backgrounds, including learners with dyslexia, ADHD, language delays, and English as a second language. I bring warmth, structure, and humor to my sessions and work hard to individualize instruction based on student needs and learning styles. Whether a student needs support with phonics, fluency, comprehension, vocabulary, or study strategies, I meet them where they are and walk with them toward progress.

I believe that literacy unlocks opportunity. My goal is always to help students feel empowered—not just to perform on assessments but to fall in love with learning and build skills that last a lifetime.

Dyslexia

I am a Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT) with a Master’s in Reading and over two years of specialized dyslexia training through the Take Flight program. I have extensive experience using evidence-based, multisensory interventions including Take Flight and Orton-Gillingham. My work focuses on improving foundational reading skills for students with dyslexia, ADHD, and other learning differences. I have successfully supported students across elementary, middle, and junior high levels in both one-on-one and small group settings.
Grammar

Grammar

I hold a BSE in English and have over a decade of experience teaching grammar to middle and high school students. As a dyslexia therapist and certified reading specialist, I bring a structured, engaging approach that helps students understand the rules and nuances of grammar. I've successfully supported learners with diverse needs, including those with ADHD and language processing challenges. My lessons are always clear, confidence-boosting, and tailored to meet each student where they are.
Phonics

Phonics

I’m a Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT) trained in the Take Flight curriculum, one of the most comprehensive dyslexia interventions available. I specialize in explicit, multisensory phonics instruction rooted in the science of reading. With over a decade of experience in reading education, I help students master phoneme-grapheme relationships, syllable types, and decoding strategies that stick. Whether a student is just learning to read or needs intervention support, I bring the tools—and the patience—to get them there.

As a certified reading specialist and dyslexia therapist, I use research-based strategies to help students build strong and lasting vocabulary knowledge. I’ve taught vocabulary through context clues, morphology (prefixes, roots, suffixes), and real-world application to deepen comprehension and boost confidence. My background includes years of teaching middle school ELA and supporting students with diverse learning needs. Whether prepping for standardized tests or simply expanding word banks, I make vocabulary instruction engaging, practical, and unforgettable.
