Success stories

Real stories from real people

Since 2005, Wyzant has provided a way for people to learn any subject in a way that works for them.

Dianne K.

11 Vocabulary lessons

On the first day, Nathalie asked me what I wanted to concentrate on, and I told her: my appalling French accent, my sparse vocabulary, and my poor grammar. With great patience and professionalism, Nathalie corrects my pronunciation and enriches my vocabulary throughout the lesson. Her knowledge of French grammar is complete; equally important, she knows how to explain grammar points clearly and succinctly.
Yingzhe F.

31 Vocabulary lessons

She has a very helpful way to help me strengthen my memory of Japanese vocabulary and grammar. She will write vocabulary and grammar test for me to take, and she will review the content she has taught at the beginning of each class. She will also take note of the vocabulary or grammar that you are not familiar with, and help you practice again and again until you completely get it. If you want to learn Japanese well, I highly recommend you to take Aki teacher's classes.
Jenny E.

29 Vocabulary lessons

For the rest of the lesson we practice using the new verbs and vocabulary through examining pre written text, spontaneously altering that text slightly, and finally with the creation of completely new sentences. I think that this method really allows you to retain the new words, as well as gain an understanding of sentence structure. I feel that each class is just enough for an hour, and I come away with 60-75 new vocabulary words by the end of it.
