Which helped to answer many of the questions I had when I noticed she didn't seem to be benefiting from the traditional ABA methods that were being used in her ABA program with her school district. She is friendly, professional, dependable, highly articulate, extremely thorough in her lesson summaries, and prompt in her delivery of those summaries. Our son is very bright, but on the autism spectrum, so standardized testing is a challenge due to the wording of problems. Joya has figured out how to teach a thinker like him and he is showing enthusiasm and progress. She assigns homework and each session he feels as if he understands the wording of the questions better.

She's been working with my son, Ben, who is a sweet and wonderful 15 year old boy with autism. She's been going over skills he needs to pass the MCAS this year and she is always prepared and thorough. Ben likes her very much.
