For over 25 years in Sales and Marketing, I have not only seen but lived the change from the Yellow Pages to Social Media and beyond. Because of the Sales business' I've been in I have had to not only keep up with the times, but be AHEAD of the times! I have taken mini-courses, live seminars, college classes, Chamber of Commerce trade classes, and local business meets with regard to marketing, and how to more effectively use today's social media to our utmost advantage. Learn who our audience is and what area of purchased time would give us the best ROI in the quickest time frame. Or Is a quick ROI really what we need at a specific point in our physical year? In the seminars, webinars, leadership classes, Chamber of Commerce Keynote functions focusing on Marketing in person, on flyers, via telephone, displays, display ads, print ads, television or radio ads, social media ads and Podcasting. and so much more, Marketing is an enormous part of our economy and a business' make or break point in many cases. It has to be done, but it must be done with wisdom and at swiss watch timing. Timing is EVERYTHING in business, especially when it comes to marketing. Currently I run a business, and must market myself. I use many of these skills and method of marketing and Podcasting for informational marketing in my line of work for my clients. Information is power! I have been a member of many organizations such as the Better Business Bureau, Local Chamber's, Professional Women Chapters. Here I have had to make presentations, speeches, sales pitches, and run point on several committees with authority, confidence, and maintain an appropriate time frame to keep my audience's attention. Know when to have props, or leave behinds, or visuals to aid in bringing home my point. I believe these experiences make me fully qualified to assist a student in Marketing.

I have been both present in creating, writing, editing and featured in Podcasting as well as physical in person Public Speaking. Currently I run a business, and must market myself. I use this method of Podcasting for informational marketing on my line of work for my clients. Information is power! Have been a member of many organizations such as the Better Business Bureau, Local Chamber's, Professional Women Chapters. Dyslexia

I was born with Dyslexia, and struggled with it all through school, college and much of my work career. Where my parents thought I was lazy and not placing my full attention, or just didn't care, I was punished and had many parent/teacher conferences about my performance. I began working at the age of 18. I lost a few jobs because I made mistakes with overages or shortages on my cash draw that I couldn't explain. One day a manager took interest in me because the mistakes I made were consistent. She asked me several questions, and asked me to read up on it, and to be tested. I tested positive. After being tested, I learned how to, "RE-learn" what was taught to me in school. This time I got it right! For the first time learning was fun, interesting and I understood it! What I didn't understand at the time was-why-I was comprehending the material so well and so fast. Mostly because I didn't care. I didn't want to look a gift horse in the mouth. I just accepted it, and ran with it. Years later, I began to study more about Dyslexia, and continue to do so. I understand more now. Today, now in my later years, I see the difference, I live the difference everyday. Because I have two children. Both equally bright and wanting to learn. But they are on two very opposite levels, and are 7 years apart. My eldest is an honor roll student and has been all her school career. My youngest struggles with spelling, writing, short term memory, organization, sequencing, guesses a lot, tends to "give up" vs. being persistent. His sister never did these things. Without even testing him, I know in my heart I've past on this gene to him. So I teach him and other children like him differently. I use different types of physically engaging tasks to get the lesson through and keep it in. Because that is one of the symptoms of dyslexia, “short term memory loss”. My goal is to keep the lesson inside. So, I use tactics that become pictures inside their mind, that are meaningful, unforgettable, real life, real situati
