About Ignacy:

My name is Ignacy, I am a cellist from Poland and just completed musical studies in United States. Recently I started looking for teaching job opportunities in Rochester area. I found the opportunity to apply to WyzAnt as tutor and I am very excited to share my knowledge and teach anyone who is interested.

Teaching is my passion. I find fascinating to share my knowledge and experience with students, to see how they grow and at the same time learn from them. As you can find in my resume, I have broad experience in the artistic environment, which I gained from both Europe and United States. After obtaining my degrees in Cello Performance, I would like to concentrate more on teaching. The reason for this is that for the past two years in United States I have had many opportunities to develop as a teacher. I took an intensive cello pedagogy course, built a small private studio, taught as a Young Artist Faculty at the Conservatory Music in the Mountains and will give master classes this coming May at El Paso Youth Symphony Orchestra.

My musical experience covers also piano teaching, thorough music history and theory knowledge and ensemble conducting. To complement all of these, I was the manager of a theater group in Poland, I fluently speak Russian and Polish, as both are native languages of mine. I consider myself a very responsible and committed person.
