Very Pleased!

Our family hired Karen to help my daughter with her high school Chemistry class. After struggling with the class for the first couple of months we determined she needed some extra help. We found Karen's impressive profile on WyzAnt and saw she was also just one town away from us. Karen tutored our daughter for the remainder of her junior year and helped her achieve a B in the class. Our daughter was diagnosed with mono two weeks before exams and struggled to finish all her classwork and study for final while sick. Karen even did a review session the day before the Chemistry Regents to help our daughter prepare. Karen is very patient, reliable and flexible in scheduling. Since our daughter is involved in sports they would text each other to determine appointment times that worked around our hectic practice and game schedules. Karen also provided thorough overviews of their sessions to me through the Wyzant portal which was fantastic. I highly recommend Karen for your tutoring needs.

Awesome!

Karen is an excellent tutor. She is very knowledgeable and patient with my son. She takes the time to explain the concepts so he understands them and can apply them to his work. She's very reliable. Karen has been a huge help in helping our son pass Regents Chemistry.

Highly Recommend!

Karen worked with our son as he was preparing for the NYS Chemistry Regents - he got a very good grade and we credit Karen's support as having a big impact! Karen knew the Chemistry content backwards/forwards - she is very good at working with the student to identify where to focus their time on preparation. She even brought her own practice materials for our son to use. She is very soft spoken, patient and seemed to 'read' what worked for our son right away in terms of teaching methods.

Terrific! Karen L. has been the ideal tutor!

Our son remarked that he learned more in one hour with Karen than he did all year in chemistry class. Karen is prompt, inquires as to exactly which areas are troublesome, comes prepared with appropriate lesson plans and materials, and is clear and thorough in her presentation. She always answered the phone and was very accommodating. Karen is conscientious, caring, kind, thoughtful and patient. She has been the perfect tutor and we highly recommend her!

Helpful and Pleasant

It has been a pleasure having Karen work with my daughter for her Chemistry class. She is punctual, easy to contact, and flexible as far as schedule and location for tutoring sessions. She is very personable and works well with my daughter. Also, Karen is very professional. She always comes with a prepared lesson plan. She focuses on what is needed by the student for the upcoming tests or classwork, but goes over past material that my daughter has had trouble with as well. I would highly recommend Karen. My daughter had sought assistance from her current Chemistry teacher, prior to using Wyzant, without much success. Karen has made it easier for her to understand what she is learning which has improved her attitude about the class overall.
