Hello! My name is Chariz (pronounced sha-reez). I graduated from Portland State University with Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics as well as a Science degree in June 2007. In addition, I have been a member of the Tau Sigma National Honor Society since 2005. I tutor math, piano, as well as just someone to help those who need that extra hand. My experiences in tutoring mathematics started on my third year in college; ranging from K-12 math through some college math as well. I haven't tutored as many students in piano, but I've been playing for almost 15 years now.

I'm patient, organized, and friendly; but mainly I just love to catch up on my music and math books just for fun! Although I can be quite the nerd, I am a great cook and love to teach any of my interests to those willing to learn! I believe that patience, flexibility, and a smile are 3 of the most important assets to any tutor!

How do I receive a discount?

Save between 5 and 15% on tutoring by purchasing credit with one of our prepaid discount packages. You can buy one of our standard 5, 10 or 15% packages or customize your own package based on how much tutoring you need. The credit you purchase can be used towards any tutor at any time and does not expire. If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
